Geraldine Laemmle, 99, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Columbus Alzheimer's Care Center. She was born February 22, 1911, in Ft. Wayne, IN, daughter of the late William and Ella Danehy Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Laemmle; son, Richard Laemmle; daughter, Barbara Higgins; brothers, William and Mike Gibson; sisters, Marie Racle, Dutch and twin sister, Genevieve Gibson. Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Jan Rayburn; son-in-law, Jack Higgins; grandchildren, Patrick and Michael (Chris) Higgins, Michael (Sherry), Mark (Lynn) Laemmle, Vicki (Pat) Rockhold, Danny (Cindy) Laemmle, Mary Schaub, Anne (Rob) Stewart, Barbara (Richard) Robinson, Laura Smock and Rich Laemmle; twenty-three great grandchildren and twelve great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3037 Broadway Grove City. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
