Gertrude "Trudi" Shannon, 69, of Grove City, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Kobacker House. She was born February 9, 1940, in Columbus, daughter of the late Cecil and Ruth Morgan Ollam. Trudi was a retired Realtor and longtime employee of Frank B. Young, Realtors. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberlee (David) Ferrell and Susan (Donald) Skaggs; brother, Paul (Carol) Ollam; grandchildren, Christina Shannon, Jennifer (Chris) Minor, Lynsie and Zachary Ferrell; great grandchildren, Brittany, Nicholas, Tony, Macayla and Cohen; cousin, Madeline Pope. Visitation will be Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Monday, January 4, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chase Bank in Memory of Trudi Shannon.
Trudi was a loving mother, grandmother and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
