Gladys Martin, 83, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Doctors Hospital West. She was born April 1, 1925, in Huntington, W.Va., daughter of the late Acy and Ella Viola Hayes Griffin. In addition to her parents, Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Lee Martin; grandsons, LaMonte Martin and Cashif Martin; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth P. Martin, Clarence A. (Cynthia) Martin and Charles A. Martin; daughters, Barbara Lee Hordge and Vivian Martin; sister, Eloise Montgomery; grandchildren, Laura Marie (Quintin) Marsh, Delores Martin, Letitia Martin, Donald (Rita) Carter, Vivian Martin, Janetta Martin, Chandra Martin, Celeisha Martin, Joshua Martin, Jumoke` and numerous great and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home S.W. Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral service will Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
