Glen Mayo James age 85 of Grove City, OH passed away on July 22, 2022 at his home in the arms of his loving wife of 56 years Audry (Dutton) James.
Glen was born May 25, 1937 in Tomahawk, KY. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Airforce as a MP. Then became a painter and retired from the Painters Local 1275 and from the Columbus Metropolitan Housing.
He was a lifelong reader and a frequent patron at the Grove City Library and YMCA. He enjoyed the local coffee shops and up to the age of 84 he would ride his bicycle in the neighborhood.
Proceeded in death by his grandmother memaw Rosie James of Columbus, OH, mother Oma (Fannin) Maynard of Inez, KY, father Roscoe M. James of Columbus, OH, brother Nathan James of Tucson, AZ, special aunt Dixie Brown of Louisa, KY and grandson Drevin James Price of Grove City, OH.
Survived by his daughter Jacinda James Price of Grove City, OH, grandson Drilon James Price of Grove City, OH (who he was very proud of), brother Stanley (Martha) Maynard of Inez, KY, brother Danny (Janice) Maynard of Inez, KY, cousin Karen Burgess of Grove City, OH, cousin Sharon Brown Henry of Flatwoods, KY, cousin Gene (Kathy) Porter of Lakeside Park, KY, niece Denise (Larry) Howell of Lovely, KY, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Per Glen's wishes he will be cremated by Newcomer Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support during this time.
