Goldie L. White, 69, of Columbus passed away January 18, 2011. She was born August 27, 1941 in Estill, KY. Preceded in death by parents, Millard and Ernestine Gibson; siblings, Opal Alexander and Harold Gibson. Survived by son, Dana (Maria) White; siblings, Betty (Wallace) Buchanan, Dennis (Sue) Gibson, Bill (Diane) Gibson; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Goldie worked hard all of her life serving others in the hotel industry and nursing homes. She attended the Gahanna Free Will Baptist Church. She loved reading the Bible and sharing God's word with others. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231. A service celebrating Goldie's life will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM following the visitation. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the family in Goldie's name.
