Greg Hord

Gregory Hord, 56, of Westerville, Ohio, was taken from us too soon on March 13, 2022. He was born July 8, 1965 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ronald and Kathleen (Engert) Hord.

Greg was a 1983 graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School, an Army Veteran, and a graduate of Otterbein University. He was a proud NASCAR Race enthusiast, lover of every WWII history documentary, diehard Notre Dame football and Yankees baseball fan, always quick-witted and would talk movie quotes with anyone who would humor him in that obsession.

Greg will be deeply missed by his wife, Joyce, his daughter Sydney, stepson Ryan (Leah) Slicer; grandchildren Sam, Finn and Josie Slicer; siblings Susan Hord, Mary Lou (John) Murray, Brenda Hord, Ronald (Lynne) Hord, Jr. along with many nieces, nephews and so many devoted friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2022 from 4pm to 6 pm at Newcomer NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane Powell, Ohio. Inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery for family, where military rites will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The James Cancer Center.
