Gretchen Lynn Estep

Gretchen Lynn Estep, 62, of Gahanna passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at home on September 20, 2023. She was born in Wilmington, Ohio on July 23, 1961 to William J. and Barbara A. (Myers) Hopkins. She married David R. Estep on May 30, 1981, and he survives.
Other survivors include children, Ryan D. (Samantha) Estep and Trisha N. Estep; siblings, Bryan (Carol) Hopkins, Eric (Tammy) Hopkins, Joel (Amy) Hopkins, and Aaron (Holly) Hopkins; several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Gretchen graduated with her associates in her early years. Gretchen started her work career as a caring staff member of Willowbrook Nursing Home. After years of caring for residence, she changed career paths and started working in the banking field. She served as an Operations Worker for J.P. Morgan Chase for many years. She went back to school to acquire her Bachelor's degree in from DeVry University in. When she wasn't working or spending time with the family, Gretchen loved to scrapbook and go camping. She had a caring heart, especially for animals. She used a lot of her free time to rescue animals in her area.
A visitation to honor her life will be held from 4 to 6 pm, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Newcomer, Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231. Service to honor her life will follow at 6pm, at the funeral home. Cremation to occur at a later date. The Newcomer family is honored to serve the Estep family.
