Guenter Hermann Willie Lorenz

Guenter Hermann Willie Lorenz, age 91, passed into the presence of the Lord on December 13, 2023. Gunther was born in Coburg, Bavaria, Germany in 1932. He was a woodworker by trade. He met and courted a beautiful girl in Coburg, Marlene, and married her there in 1954. They then welcomed a son, Juergen, later that year. The family emigrated to America in 1957, when Gunther found employment with the McNally Co. in Columbus.
Gunther was a wonderful husband, father, and friend to many. He played soccer with fellow members of Germania before a stroke affected his ability to play.

Gunther leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Marlene, his son Juergen and daughter in law Lori, and 2 sisters, Hannelore (Joe) Rose, and Helga Suelter, of Columbus. He was preceded in death by a brother, Agon, of Coburg.
