Hallie E. Thompson, 94, of Canal Winchester, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at home. Hallie retired from General Motors after 25 years and was previously a member of the Westside Freewill Baptist Church. Hallie attended Fellowship Baptist Church. Hallie was preceded in death by her son, Mark E. Thompson; parents, Con and Pearl Pennington; sister, Marie Miller; brother, Clifford Pennington, and Russell Pennington. Hallie is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles W. Thompson; daughter, Lynn (Keith) Alban; grandchildren, Rebecca Alban, Lora Alban, David Alban, and USAF AM Daniel (Chelsea) Alban; sisters, Molly Kelly and Thelma Stiles; brothers, James Pennington, Everett Pennington, and Harry Pennington. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 6, 2008 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 7, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Fellowship Baptist Church, 4701 Winchester Pike, Columbus, Ohio, Rev. Joe Cotroneo officiating.
