SPENCER

Harleth "Hank" S. Spencer, 88, of Columbus, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 6, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Harry and Eda (LeValley) Spencer, Hank is preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Spencer; sisters, Janet Thompson and Ruth Earl; brother, Bob Cheugh. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dorothy (Greshel) Spencer; sons, Jack (Debra), Jon (Donna), and Jim (Vera) Spencer; grandchildren, Lori (Trent) Storch, Brett (Kimberly), Eric, Carol, Michael Spencer, Erin (Scott) McElhiney, Dr. John (Abby) S. Gilbert, Adam (Kristin) Gilbert, Ryan (Melissa) Carroll, Ashley Carroll and Brittany Rubelowski; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Hank served in the Army during WWII and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, 5-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, OH, with funeral service to be on Wednesday, October 10 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Worthington, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Road, Columbus, OH 43220.
