Harold Eugene Smith

Harold (Harry) Smith of Johnstown, Ohio passed away May 18, 2024. Harry was born June 24, 1936, in Caledonia Ohio to Harold Earl Smith and Rozella Morton Smith.

Harold grew up in Marion, Ohio. Harold is preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Beverly Jean and Carolyn Elaine, and a brother, Darwin.

Harold is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lynn, 2 sons, Erik (Alyssa) Smith and Darren (Pam) Smith, five grandchildren Ian (Chloe), Dani (Kyle), Peyton, Keenan, and Kayleigh, and one great-grandson, Senna Smith. He is also survived by his brother Larry (Janice) Smith, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Harry graduated in 1954 from Marion Harding High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959. He retired in 2010 after serving 32 years as facilities specialist for the United States Post Office.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at Newcomer Northeast Chapel - 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held immediately after visitation.
