Harold Franklin Watson

March 14, 1931 — December 10, 2023

Harold "Frank" Watson, age 92, passed peacefully at home on December 10, 2023. He was born March 14, 1931 near the little village of Petersville, Kentucky. His parents, Hubert and Rachel, raised all eight of their children on a small tobacco farm, instilling in them the values of hard work, dedication to family, loyalty to friends, and finding the beauty in nature.

Frank found happiness in many ways. For many years on Buckeye Lake boating, fishing and entertaining family and friends was his joy. Gardening and sharing the bounty of the harvest always provided bragging rights for the best tomatoes around.

Anyone who knew Frank understood that he was a self-made man. Only having an eighth grade education never stopped Frank's willingness to learn, inspiration to grow, and passion to pursue new opportunities. He became a successful commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning expert for The Tom Cannon Company and then Big Bear from which he retired many years ago.

Frank is survived by his daughters Janet (Tom) Watson and Marilyn (Francis) Moore. He is predeceased by children Betty, Harold, Freddie and Bonnie. Also predeceased is the mother of his children, Eva Joyce Stamm, and his second wife Marion Beets (and infant son Kenneth Franklin).

His grand children are Tom Watson, Amy Watson-Grace, Eric Moore (deceased), Dustin Watson and Andrea Watson. Great grandchildren are Eva, Caelan, Erika, Bradley, Brianna, Katelyn and Josh. There are four great great grandchildren. In addition, he is blessed with two step granddaughters Tammi Moore-Hamilton and Terri Davis. Frank will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. (Especially for his sense of humor and boundless rowdy stories!)

Sisters Doris Stamm and Alma Gilbert along with brother Wendell Watson will miss him greatly. Predeceased brothers and sisters are: Earl, Kenneth, Vivian and Geraldine.

Per his wishes, no services will be observed.
