Harriet Patton

Harriet "Marie" Patton, 90, went home to be with the Lord June 22, 2013 at the Laurels of Hilliard, Hilliard, OH. Born October 3, 1922 in Desloge, MO. After attending Teachers College in MO she taught in a one room schoolhouse. After marrying David Patton, they moved to Columbus, OH. Marie retired from Nationwide Insurance Company. For many years she did in-home health care. She was a member of Cypress Wesleyan Alton Darby Church where she was a member of the Seniors Class. Marie enjoyed bowling in various leagues when she was younger, loved to travel, loved the OSU Buckeyes and adored spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by parents, Delwin and Nora Eaves; husband, David Patton Sr.; sister, Mary Lou Eaves; brothers, Leonard Dale, James, Edwin, Frank and Ivan Eaves; granddaughter, Jodie Patton; great-granddaughter, Alexandra Patton. Marie is survived by brothers, Bill of CA, Donald of SC, Ralph of MO, Charles of MO and Paul of NC; children, Marti Patton of Canal Winchester, David (Gretchen) Patton of Potosi, MO and Veronica (Tom) Tinkler of Columbus; ten grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Friday, June 28, 2013 from 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10 am at the Funeral Home.
