Harriett "Patty" Evans, 58, of Carroll, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 11, 2008. Patty was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. Everyone who knew her was blessed by her beautiful spirit. She possessed an unflappable joy for life and a vibrant laughter that could lift the spirits of those around her. She was the center of our family and will be dearly missed. Patty was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ken Townson; brother, Junior and father-in-law, Ellis Evans. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, David; son, James (Kimmy); daughter, Kim (Michael); 2 wonderful grandsons, Jared and Rett; mother, Jacquelea; father, Vernon E. Chaffin, Sr; brothers, David and Dana; mother-in-law, Delsa Evans; brother-in-law, Gary Evans; sister-in-law, Sandy (Gary) Birtcher; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 15 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH followed by the funeral at 1:00PM. Interment will follow immediately at Blendon Central Cemetery.
