Harry Lee Lewis, 73, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at his home after a courageous battle with ALS. Harry was preceded in death by parents, Charles Lewis and Goldie Cornell; sisters, Dorothy Miller, Bessie Howe, Josephine Mott; brother, Earl Lewis; half sister, Kathleen Miller; and half brother, Frank Cornell, Jr.. Harry retired from Big Bear Warehouse after 37 years of service. Harry is survived by loving wife of 36 years, Barbara (nee Sipe); daughters, Christine (Matt) Pearson, Traci (Robert) Trent; grandchildren, Alyssa, Mikayla and Braydon Rader, and Chase Allmon; sisters, Mary (George) Deweese of FL, Helen (Wendell) McConnaughey, Shirley Lewis; half sisters, Ruth (John) Masters, Kathy (Larry) Arledge; and half brothers, Clarence Cornell and Paul (Betty) Cornell. Special thanks to Mt. Carmel Hospice for their wonderful care. Family and friends may call on Friday, June 20, 2008 from 6:00PM-7:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio. Memorial service will follow at 7:00PM with military honors. Pastor Jerry Sipe officiating. At Harry's request a cremation will follow.
