MAXWELL
Harry Lodge Maxwell, 87, of Columbus, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 20, 2009 at his home. He was born July 18, 1922, in Gambier, OH. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Emma Lodge Maxwell; sisters, Laura Mourne and Grace Yates; brothers, Arthur, Harold, Herman, Harley, Pearl and James Maxwell. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mildred Kelso Maxwell; sons, Gary (Arlene), Rocky (Faith), Jack (Annette) and Paul Maxwell; daughters, Cheryl (Tom) Clark, Susan Downey, Crystal (Don) Dill, Georgia (Terry) Williams, Holly (Tim) Heskett and Rhoda (Greg) Mazik; 45 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Harry was a member of Christian Life Fellowship in Gahanna. He faithfully and joyfully served his Lord for 55 years. He served in the Army during WWII. He was a retired Teamster from Indian Head Truck Lines. Harry was claimed as a "father, brother, uncle, grandpa and best friend" to many, whom he befriended and loved. Visitation, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH. Funeral Service, Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at Quest Community Church, 4877 Central College Rd., Westerville, OH with Rev. Clayton Warren Jr. and Rev. Warren Hilderbrand officiating. Interment to follow at Galloway Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
