Harry Albert Nairn

Harry Albert "Gov" Nairn departed from this world on August 21, 2023. Harry was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 5, 1930 to the late William and Harriet Nairn. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Nairn, daughter, Lisa M. Owings, granddaughter, Michelle M. Owings, and brothers, Charles, Harold, and Bernard Nairn.

Harry retired from Lazarus after more than 40 years of service. He was a proud Air Force Veteran who served during the Korean War. He was an avid sports fan and a very proud Buckeye. He was always quick with a smile, story, or joke and he brought joy to all those around him.

Harry is survived by his son, Don (Cathy) Nairn, daughters, Rebecca and Laura (John) Nairn, son-in-law, Stephen Owings, along with 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also, ex son-in-law Tracy Morgan, whom, along with Rebecca, Herb, and Michelle Buston, provided loving and attentive care for Harry in the final years of his life.

Family and friends may call on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 5:00pm-7:00pm for visitation hours and a funeral service to follow at Newcomer SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 4312. A Graveside service and burial will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 12pm at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Hamden, Vinton County, Ohio 45634.
