Harvey Allen Holmes

Harvey Holmes, a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away April 8th 2024.
The son of Clyde and Dorothy Holmes, Harvey Holmes grew up in and lived his life in Grove City, Ohio. He was born on May 26th, 1943.
At the age of 22, Harvey enlisted in the United States Army and served active duty in the Vietnam War. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of an E4 Specialist. As part of this service, he received a Vietnam Service Medal and a Vietnam Campaign Medal (w/ device 60).
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years (Patricia Holmes), beloved Son (Wesley Holmes), parents (Clyde and Dorothy Holmes), and brother (Larry Homles). He is survived by his loving grandson (Reece Holmes).
A service honoring the life of Harvey Holmes will be held on June 4th, 2024 from 12-1 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, followed by a graveside service at Grove City Cemetery.
