Hazel Smith, 77, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Hazel was born to Dingess S. and Gracie (Adkins) McDonald in Logan, WV., on July 1, 1932, and was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin Smith; brothers, Charles "Junior" and twin brother, Roosevelt McDonald; half-sister, Opal; one infant grandson. Survivors include her daughters, Pamela (John) Condo, Diana Roberts and Joyce (Les) Norris; son, Douglas Ott; brothers, Jim (Susan) McDonald, Raymond McDonald, Gordon "Mike" (Betty) McDonald; grandchildren, Matthew, Les, Michael, Michelle, Toni, Melissa, Doug, Thomas, Margaret, Garrett, Brett; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Trent; many nieces, nephews, her special friends, Rhoda and Erma, and all those at First Community. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Grove City Church of God, 4325 Harrisburg Pike, Grove City, OH with the Funeral Service on Thursday, November 5, 2009, 10:00 AM at the Church. Interment will follow at Obetz Cemetery.
