Heather Marie Hinds Ashley, 40, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Heather was born on July 26, 1977 in Colorado Springs, CO to Lewis K. Hinds, Jr. and Tamara Hinds.
Heather is preceded in death by her grandfathers Lewis K. Hinds and Zek Tharp; grandmother Carol Anne Allton.
She is survived by her parents, Tammy and Tim Tharp, Ken and Marianne Hinds; children, Madison Daines (Adam Palmer), Payton Ashley (Todd Ashley), Kendra and Kiley Golke; grandparents Joan Hinds, Richard Allton, Sr. and Ruthe Parsons; special friends Todd Gobel and Tina Justice; and a host of many other friends and family who loved her.
Heather loved her children and would have done anything for them. She enjoyed long talks with her grandmother, mom and daughter. She was a "free spirit" and had no problems speaking her mind. Heather was active in her youth and especially enjoyed camping, softball, gymnastics, music and dance. She was a Girl Scout earning the Silver and Gold Award. Heather was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Central Ohio Chapter.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231 where a funeral service will immediately follow at 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Heather's honor to Choices for Victims of Domestic Violence, 500 W. Wilson Bridge Rd. #245, Worthington, OH 43085, the American Heart Association, 15120 Collection Center Dr., Lock Box #: 15120, Chicago, IL 60693 or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Rd., Suite 202, Independence, OH 44131.
