Helen Allen, 81, of Columbus, passed away April 2, 2007. She was preceded in death by her son, Alvin; 4 sisters and 1 brother. Helen is survived by her loving husband, Robert; son, Robert (Rebecca) Allen; daughters, Carolyn (William) Climer, Mary (David) Whaley, Patty (Jerry) Perrigo, Dorothy (Mark) Rodecker; Kelly Allen daughter in law, numerous grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; sister, Lorretta Crist; brother, James (Pat) Johnson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Bettie Lou Allen; sister-in-law, Katie Allen; niece, Marianne Harper and family and special friends, Linda and Joni. Helen was a member of the Catholic Mother Guild and an avid Bingo player. She volunteered at the soup kitchen and worked for the Board of Elections. Helen was a deeply religious and spiritual woman, a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00PM Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Green Lawn Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.com
