Henry Ray Heit, 85, of Reynoldsburg Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024. Ray was born July 25, 1938 in Norfolk, Virginia to Beatrice Nell Poteet and Henry Walter Heit.
A graduate of West Tech High School, Cleveland, Ohio. Attended Rose Polytechnic Institute, Terra Haute, Indiana and received a Bachelor of Science in Physics degree from John Carrol University, Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Ray worked for Ametek as a Quality Assurance Manager/TQM Facilitator in Largo Florida then as a Calibration Engineer at Lucent Technologies, Columbus, Ohio. His name is on two U.S. Patents one from each company.
Ray's hobbies were archery, computers, photography, and vacationing with his family. He was also an expert rifleman in college.
Ray Heit will be deeply missed by his wife Judy Heit wife 62 years; children Jeffrey Martin Heit (Deborah), Deborah Jean Riddlebarger (Brian); grandchildren Shannon, Allison, and Matthew. Ray Heit was preceded in death by his grandson Ryan.
Ray's ashes will be laid to rest at The Richfield Cemetery, Richfield, Ohio.
