Henry M. Greenwood, 82, of Columbus, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born January 23, 1929, in Waltham, MA, son of the late James E. and Nettie Hall Greenwood. In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Ann Greenwood and sister, Ruthie Luty. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Henry was also a member of the Christian Assembly Church and retired from the Post Office with over 30 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Faye Greenwood; sons, Jerry M. (Elizabeth), Robert W. (Darlene J.) and David M. (Veronica) Greenwood; brother, Edward (Dorothy) Greenwood; grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Logan, Elizabeth, Michael and Anna Greenwood; great grandchildren, Capri, Khylen, Zoey and Ian. Visitation will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus. Private graveside services will be held at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1950 Arlingate Lane Columbus, OH 43228.
