Herman Lorenzo Penn, Jr.

Herman L. Penn, Jr., 70, passed away early morning, December 1, 2023 in St. Ann's Hospital, Westerville, Ohio. He was born on November 2, 1953 to the late Herman L. Penn, Sr. and late Grace (Banks) Penn in Lynchburg, Virginia.
He is preceded in death by brother, Howard Penn.
He is survived by his children; his sisters, Marie (Harry) Saunders, Marjorie (Marshall) Davis, and Marilyn Penn; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Herman attended Virginia State University.
Herman accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior early in his life. This early teaching and learning carried on in his later life as he joined a group of dedicated people who gave time and effort in caring for disadvantaged youths.
A visitation will be held from Noon to 2pm, Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral, Northeast chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus 43231. Service will be held at 2pm, Sunday, also at the funeral home. Burial to follow privately at a later date. The Newcomer family is honored to serve the Penn family.
