Herschel A. Neale, 87, Columbus, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012. Herschel is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty (Korbel) Neale; children, Jana Angeletti, Steven(Brenda), Pam(Bud)Kigar, Diane(John)Herlan;/grandchildren, Renee, Steve Jr, Angie, Jennifer, Jeremy, Austin, Madison, Ali and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa.
Herschel served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, was awarded 5 stars and 1 WW II victory medal and a member of American Legion. He was a custom home builder for over 60 years building over 200 homes mostly in the Columbus area, finishing his last home at the age of 82. Some of his custom homes were showcased in the original Parade of Homes.
