Hildegard Maria Nichols

Hildegard Maria Nichols, a beloved member of her family, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on March 24, 1928, in Berlin, Germany, Hildegard led a life marked by her loving, kind, and welcoming personality, which touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Hildegard was predeceased by her cherished husband, Merida “Jack” Nichols, and her dear daughters, Carol Ann and Teresa Lynn. Their absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who hold their memories dear.

She is survived by her loving sons, Gerald Nichols, Donald (Kathy) Nichols, Bruce (Cindy) Nichols, and son-in-law, Hassell Cook. Hildegard’s legacy continues through her grandchildren Jay, Christina, Sarah, Robert, Andy, Kristen, Josh, and Dan. In addition, she takes with her fond memories of her great-grandchildren: Jayci, Joshua, William, Isabella, Johanna, Arianna, Stephen, Beckett, Mia, Jack, and Stevie, as well as her great-great-grandchild, Weston.

A visitation to celebrate Hildegard's life will be held on January 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, 43123. Following the visitation, a memorial service will commence at 3:00 PM, allowing family and friends to come together in remembrance of this remarkable woman.

Hildegard's life was a testament to the love she shared and the bonds she nurtured. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she enriched.
