H.J. Waugh, 71, of , Columbus, OH passed away peacefully on January 9, 2022.
He was born in Surry County, NC on May 30, 1950 to the late Hurl and Gladys (East) Waugh.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Forrest Waugh.
Surviving family includes loving wife Teresa (Elliott); children, Oleatha (Nadra), Orlando (Sarina); adopted daughter, Tina (Rod) Elliott; grandchildren, Brianna, Ayress, Raven, James, Caleb Waugh; siblings, Terry (Gloria), Teresa Charley, Phyllis; sister-in-law, Denice Taylor; brother-in-law, James (Donna) Elliott; special caregivers, June Galloway and Tyler Arrington; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
James served in US Navy during the Vietnam era.
He was also a 33rd degree Mason.
James was a barber instructor for 20 years with Texas Barber College prior to his illness.
He was a entrepreneur in the Columbus area owning two salons.
James LOVED to play the lottery, old school blues and knew how to dress.
He had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and will be truly missed by those who loved him.
