Homer B. Willoughby, born July 30, 1933, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Mount Carmel Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Hawes; father, Basil Willoughby; sister, Silvia Klott and granddaughter, Amy Willoughby. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Norma Willoughby; sister, Sue Bowles; 6 children, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews friends and extended family.
Homer served his country bravely in the U.S. Air Force. He was a retiree of Westinghouse.
A memorial gathering will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Friday, January 25, 2013 from 6:00 PM till the time of memorial service at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Palliative Care C/O Mt. Carmel Foundation, 6150 E. Broadway St., Columbus, OH 43213.
