Howard Alwood

Howard F. Alwood, age 82 of Galloway, Ohio passed away on December 6, 2023 at Doctors West Hospital. Howard was born May 2, 1941 to the late J. Virgil Alwood and Laura Farrell Alwood, Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by brothers William, John Virgil III, Allen Alwood and sister Katherine Foster. Howard is survived by his Aunt Marie Strain; sisters Edna Ratliff (Ed) Middletown, Ohio, Mary Zalipski (Jim) of Dayton, Ohio and Cheri Hatfield of Circleville, Ohio; nieces and nephews; great niece: cousins, foster children and girlfriend Ann Southern.

Howard was a hard working man who wore many hats and was always helping others. A talented woodworker who also loved gardening and his tomatoes. Loved his candy, donuts, muffins and coffee.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday December 16, 2023 from 12:30pm to 3:00pm with a 1:00pm service at Greater Grace Temple Apostolic 1255 Faber Av., Columbus, Ohio 43207

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to be used toward Howards expenses.
