COWANS, Howard "John", 72, of London, passed away June 27, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard John Sr. and Dessie (taylor) Cowans and sister, Jean Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; daughters, Karen A. (Don) Ward, Jeannie L. (Ralph) Popp; sister, Marybelle Yates; brother, Frank Cowans; grandchildren, Micheal (Sallie) Markham, Heather (Bill) Davis, Dawn (Scott) Speakman, John (Jenn) Long, Eric (Jenny) Popp, Heidi (Nate) Binford, Peggy Jo Long, Nathan Long; special nephew, little Johnny Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. John retired from Timken Roller Bearing after 33 years of service. He was a former member of the Southeast Conservation Club. John was an avid gardener, fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday, July 1, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway Ave., Grove City, Ohio. Visitation will be held 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, June 30, 2005. Pastor Dennis George will be officiating with interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
