Hubert W. "Cooper" Bryant, 83, New Albany, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Hubert W. and Nan (Calloway) Bryant in Harlan, Ky., Hubert is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include his wife Janet (Bowman) Bryant; son, James W. (Carla) Bryant; sisters, Agnes Bird and Gladys Adams; brother, James T. Bryant; grandchildren, Jessika K. Bryant and Jeremy Godwin. Hubert was retired from the Franklin County MRDD program. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 9:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, New Albany. Messages of condolence may be left at www.NewcomerFamily.
