Ida Jo Slone, passed from this life to the next on March 17, 2011. She was born in Louisa, Kentucky to Ernie and Phoebe (Miller) Thompson on March 9, 1932. Ida was retired from Ross Labs, Inc. and was on a bowling league for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by sons, Larry (Lynn) Slone, Paul (Susan) Slone and daughter, Lora Jane (Slone) Naprawa, granddaughters, Jeanette (Chad) Queen and Erica Naprawa, grandson Joshua (Amy) Slone and great-grandson Dominic Slone, sister Roberta Rowan, brother Ernest (Anna) Thompson, ex-husband Gene (Betty) Slone, many nieces and nephews and special friends Gene Owsley and the Owsley Family. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00PM, Monday, March 21, 2011 in the funeral home. Interment will be in Violet Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Huntington Foundation, 505 8th Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
