Irene C. Eesley passed away on February 6, 2009 at her home in Grove City, OH. She was born in Warfield, KY, the daughter of William and Pearl Coleman. Following high school, Irene moved to Columbus and worked at Timken Roller Bearing during the wartime effort. In route to daily work she became acquainted with her bus driver, Raymond "Pudge" Eesley, who would become her husband of 61 years. Irene was a devoted wife and mother, but also found time for school to become a licensed managing cosmetologist. She was proprietor/operator of Rene's Beauty Salon in Grove City for several years. Irene is a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son Gary (Barbara) Eesley of Lake Orion, MI; daughter Luann Eesley (Mike Minner) of Chillicothe, OH; son Jeffrey Eesley of Worthington, OH; grandchildren Christopher and Elizabeth of Lake Orion, MI; and sister Billie Grace Hoover of Zionsville, IN. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Pudge; her sisters Garnet, Opal, Ruth, and brothers Roy and Howard. The family will receive friends between 6:00-8:00PM Monday, February 9, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. The funeral service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, with Pastor Don Allman officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery on 6244 Hoover Rd., Grove City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 6150 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43213.
