J. Alfred Cochran

J. Alfred Cochran, 101, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Worthington Christian Village.
He was born April 25, 1912 in Mt. Pleasant, OH, son of the late John and Mary Finney Cochran.
In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and John Cochran.
He was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene most recently Fredericktown Church of the Nazarene.
Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Jewel Thomas Cochran; sons, Thomas A. (Judy) Cochran and William R. (Donna) Cochran; daughter, Thelma J. Bowman; grandchildren, Eric Cochran, William Cochran Jr., Brian (Julie) Cochran and Douglas (Cam) Bowman; great grandchildren, James, Paul and Drew Cochran and Emma and Addison Bowman.
Visitation will be Monday, May 13, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to services.
Graveside service will be in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens at 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Bible Society, 1865 Broadway, New York, NY 10023.
