Jack B. Jenkins

Jack B. Jenkins, 86 of Columbus passed away Thursday, February 15th, 2024, at Brookdale Senior Living (Memory Care) in Westerville. He was born on June 24th, 1937 to the late Clyde and Jeanette Jenkins.

He grew up in Milford Center, graduating from Milford Center High School and later Columbus Community Business School. He soon after met the love of his life, the late Mary D. (Moore) Jenkins, at a drive-in movie theatre. They then married March 21st, 1958 and were married for 62 years.

Jack devoted several years of his life to sales at Brown Steel Company, Family Camping, Farber's, Jerry Greer Airstream, and Walmart.

He enjoyed camping and led his sons' Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially when it included a meal at Skyline Chili, Pancake House, McDonald's, or City Barbecue. Most of all, he prided himself in being a grandfather to his twin granddaughters, bragging about them wherever he went.

Jack was a people person. He made everyone feel like family. To know him was to be loved by him.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Jeanette Jenkins, wife Mary (Moore) Jenkins, sister Diane Bridge, and brother-in-law Bob Snyder.

He is survived by sons Keith (Melissa) Jenkins, Steve Jenkins, and Scott Jenkins, siblings Jerry (Joan) Jenkins, Patricia Overfield, Beverly Snyder, and Susan (Bruce) Collins, brother-in-law Chuck Bridge, and grandchildren Mary E. Jenkins and Madeline Jenkins, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24th from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m at Newcomer Funeral Home- Northeast Chapel 3047 E. Dublin Granville
Road, Columbus, OH 43231. Please come share memories and celebrate Jack's life.

A private burial will take place at Northlawn Memory Gardens on Monday, February 26th, 2024.
