Jack Arthur Salvato was born December 12, 1944 in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Bishop Ward High School, Kansas City, KS in June 1962. Graduated from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, KS with a degree in Chemistry in 1967. He spent 2 years in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he received numerous awards including 2 Army commendation medals, an air medal, a defense medal, and 5 letters of commendation among others. After separation from the Army in April 1970 he entered the University of Missouri at Kansas City and earned his Masters in Biology. He continued on in later years to earn his MBA from Ohio State University. Jack was a respected scientist and businessman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Saverio and Verna Salvato, brothers, Robert, Richard and Jim.
Surviving family includes wife, Rebecca; children, Nicole Arlington, Jason (Audra) Salvato, Allison (Trey) Meeker, Angela Butz, Andrea Moreth, Aaron Molihan, Kenneth (Amber) Molihan; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Frank Salvato; sister, Rita (Michael) Meserko; numerous nieces and nephews; former spouse and friend, Elizabeth Salvato.
Jack was loved by many and known for his storytelling and sense of humor. He enjoyed music, traveling, volunteering, NCIS reruns, the History Channel, ice cream, anything chocolate, and making memories with his beautiful wife. One of his passions was introducing the world of business to other entrepreneurs and building relationships through the Dublin Area Networking Group.
Visitation will be held from 12-2pm, Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH 43065, where a funeral service will begin at 2pm.
