Jack H. Gee, age 72, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on February 4 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Jack was a loving husband for nearly 40 years, a member of Highland Baptist Church for 30 years, retired from C&O railroad after 29 years, and retired from Pinkerton Security after 12 years. He was preceded in death by Millard (father) and Bertha (mother) Gee, brothers Clarence (Hod), Lawrence (Bub), Edsel and sister Margaret Wallace. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, grandson Alexander Gee (his "buddy"), daughters Gillian Hall, Rebecca Dixon, Connie (Roger) Enyart and Leisa (Don) Hunter, brother Don (Mona), sister Mildred Giles, seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, sons-in-law Mike Oglesbee and Dale Dixon; and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at Highland Baptist Church on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 11:30am . Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
