Jackie, in a tranquil and serene sleep, departed from this life on Saturday November 12, 2022, at her home in Columbus, Ohio, at the age of 59.

Jackie was the second of three children born to Edward and Helen Winston. She made her spectacular debut into this world to join her extensive family lineage, on March 12, 1963, in Charleston, West Virginia.

Jackie, as she was fondly called by her family, friends, and acquaintances, join Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age. She was the loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, a friend of many and a superb "doggie mom."

Her formative years were spent in Charleston where she attended Kanawha County Public Schools. While attending Wilson Junior High School, she was one of the school's stunning majorettes. Upon moving to Washington, D.C., she completed her high school academic course of study at the prestigious Duke Ellington School of Arts. In December of 2006, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Medical Field from the University of Cincinnati, with Summa Cum Laude honors.

Jackie retired after several successful years of employment as a phlebotomist, with the Columbus VA Medical Center. Her community services included working with the hearing impaired and being a Voting Location Manager. Her main past time was the enjoyment of the companionship of her fur-baby, Parker. She was fond of all genres of music, and the Fine Arts.

Jackie was predeceased by her father, Edward H. Winston, Sr., Grandparents, Ernest R. (Laura) Chambers, sister, Helen M. Winston, Uncle Wyman (Vernell), Cousins Michael, and Debra Megginson.

Jackie leaves to rejoice in her memory her loving mother Helen A. Winston, Columbus, Ohio, her loving and devoted sisters, Janice L. Winston, Crystal A. Lymon of Columbus, Ohio, and brother Edward H. Winston, II (Catherine) of California, her Aunts Rosa A. Chambers of Dayton, Ohio, Jean Megginson of Concord, Virginia, her Uncle Ernest "Ricky" Chambers, (Merle) of California, Clinton Megginson of Columbus, Ohio and James Megginson of Houston Texas. Nephews and Nieces: – Edward, III, and Camille Winston of California, Jamel, Isaon, Christopher, Karissa. Also survived by her loyal canine companion, Parker, and a host of relatives and friends.
