Jacqueline Kay Solomon

January 20, 1966 — June 28, 2024

New Albany

Preceded in death by father James (Sonny) Pippens. Survived by mother Katherine (Kitty) A. Solomon, brothers William Solomon (Cheryl), Stephen Solomon, sisters Karen Solomon and Jennifer Norman. She leaves behind special great-niece Katherine Solomon, niece Candice Solomon, and nephew Marshawn Solomon. She also leaves behind a host of additional nieces, nephews, aunt, great-aunt, great-uncle, cousins and friends.

Jackie was born on January 20, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio, and succumbed to her battle with cancer on Friday, June 28, 2024 with her loving mother, family and friends by her side. She served in the United States Air Force; and the Ohio National Guard. She was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering; and was a graduate of Westerville South High School where she enjoyed being on the Drill Team and playing on the Volleyball Team. She was Baptized and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. After graduating from OSU, she then obtained employment with American Honda Motor Company; and Anheuser-Busch where she used her talent to design the building logo sign which is still visible to all passers-by. Jackie also enjoyed globe-trotting with her mother, Marshawn and Katherine as her travel companions.

Jackie’s ambitions continued to aim even higher as she became a tremendously successful multi-business owner in the Columbus area which include a Marathon Service Station/Restaurant/Carwash; multi property and land owner; staffing company; and her latest venture which she owned and operated a commercially licensed cannabis production facility and retail store.

Jackie was an outstanding daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend to all that knew and loved her. Our hearts are filled with great sorrow to lose such a gifted soul, but we have comfort in knowing that she will suffer no more pain, and that she now rests in the arms of our Holy Lord Jesus Christ.
