James Andrew Vasos, 87, of Franklin, NC, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012.
Born in Logans Port, IN, he was the son of the late Andrew Vasos and Parthanopy Valkanas Vasos. James was a US Air Force veteran and served during WWII, when he received a Bronze Star. He worked for the Franklin Press and was a member of the American Legion Post 108. James was also the former owner of The Old Trail Restaurant and Bar in downtown Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Betty Jean Dana Vasos; daughter, Priscilla Ralph and husband Jack of Galloway, OH; step-children, Ray M. Davis and wife Ethel of Franklin and Jackie Lee Finefield of Ft. Myers, FL; brother, George Vasos of Galloway, OH; three grandchildren, Jack James Ralph and wife Connie of Hilliard, OH, Jamie Nicole Ralph of Galloway, OH and James Davis of Franklin, NC, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 7th at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 with Rev. George Jordan officiating. Burial at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Friday, April 6th at the funeral home.
