James Cecil Ashley, 65, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Doctors Hospital. He was born January 3, 1945, in Hazard, KY, son of the late William and Mancy Amburgey Ashley. James is survived by his wife, Emily Johnson Ashley; sons, Curtiss (Melissa) Ashley and Glenn (Michelle) Ashley; brother, Harry (Barbara) Ashley; sisters, Georgia Dale Lane and Joyce (Denzil) Spencer; grandchildren, Morgan, Chase, Nathan and Calvin Ashley; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers. Visitation will be Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City. Funeral service will be Monday, August 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Grove City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of America, 322 Eighth Ave 7th Floor New York, NY 10001 or American Cancer Society Central Region Office- FRAN 870 Michigan Ave. Columbus, OH 43215.
