James H. Avis, 67, passed away May 25, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, Harold Lewis (Mildred) Avis and Kathleen Jewel (Joseph) Domitrovich; brother-in-law, Gary Lanning; and uncle, Glen Bryant.
James is survived by siblings, Drema Avis, LorAnn Lanning, Melinda Owens, and Charlie (Amy) Domitrovich; nieces and nephews, Daniel Avis, Chrystal Avis, Elizabeth (Daniel) Fahy, Bobby Owens, Justin (Samantha) Domitrovich, Jacob Domitrovich, and Jessica Domitrovich; great-nieces and great-nephews, Hubert Chafin, Hayden Chafin, Allison Fahy, Caroline Fahy, and Cora Domitrovich; aunts, Violet Bryant and Charlotte Letchford; uncle, Bobby Letchford; cousin, Ronald Bryant; other extended family and friends including Rusty Mills and Brian Gilmore.
James proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. He had a special love for children as witnessed through his strong bond with his nieces and nephews. James was a caring man who was loyal to his family. He gave his life to the Lord on May 17, 2023 and was baptized on May 18th by Pastor Carol Thomas.
A private Graveside service will be held at a later date.
