James B. Woofter, 75, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012, surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born in Churchville, WV on February 25, 1937, to the late James A. and Nellie Woofter. Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Donna (Sexton) Woofter; daughters, Teresa Hackney, Evelyn (Jerry) Leslein, Nancy (Terry) Marcum; sons, James C. (Nancy) Woofter, Henry Watson, James Smith; sisters, Sue and Penny; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter and many friends. Jim was a member of the "Sons of the American Legion Post 144" and their Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with the Funeral Service on Saturday, October 27, 2012, 9:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017. Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery.
