He served in the U.S. Army 1963-1965; Berlin, Germany CO.F 40th Armor, Spec 4. Member of the Masonic Lodge, F & A.M. Grove City Lodge No. 689; Scottish Rite Valley of Cols, 32nd Degree; Westgate Council No. 129 and Westgate Chapter 216. Retired from The Total Energy Plant at Sears Logistics Services.
Preceded in death by parents, Lena and Millard Blackburn.
Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Harriet; beloved son, James Jr. and cherished grandson Jay, III (Julianne); sisters, Elinor (Virgil) White and Nancy, of Tampa, FL; and numerous loving relatives.
Private Service to be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, Grove City, OH. Interment at Sunset Cemetery, Masonic Gardens, Galloway, OH.
