James L. Blankenship, 76, of Columbus, passed away Friday, February 16, 2007, at Mount Carmel West Hospital. He was born April 18, 1930, in West Virginia, son of the late Robert and Alta Blankenship. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Hoffman, two brothers and one sister. James is survived by his sons, Steven, Kenneth and Ronald (Melody); daughter, Christine Blankenship; six grandchidren and numerous great grandchildren; sister, Glenva Webb. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 12:00 PM with visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service at Newcomer Funeral Home N.E. Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at www.newcomerfamily.com
