James Blanton

James M. Blanton age 89, passed away Monday March 7, 2005 at Minerva Park Nursing Home in Columbus Ohio. He was preceded in death by his Parents John and Virginia Blanton and his Wife Ruth. He is survived by Daughters Diane (Terrence ) Peck and Denise Blanton; Sisters Merle (Hershel) Baldwin and Lura King as well as 4 Grandchildren, 2 Step Grandchildren and 1 Great Grand Child. He was an independent businessman having owned a Gulf Station at Lakeview and North High St. in Columbus; he was also retired from OSU. James was also a WWII Veteran having served in the United States Marine Corp (Semper Fi). James was 32nd degree Free Mason and a Shriner. The family will receive friends Thursday March 10 from 7 -9 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home 3047 East Dublin-Granville Rd Columbus; Funeral Service will be held Friday March 11 at 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home.
