James Burris Sr. went to rest after a prolonged illness Thursday, November 5, 2009. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth (Burris) Madory and nephew, Winfield Staley. Jim is survived by his son, James Burris Jr.; grandsons, Peyton Clemmons and James Burris III; long time companion, Linda Blackburn; daughters, Christi (Jeff) Wright and Misti (Lito) Acuin; granddaughters, Kaylee and Jaylin Acuin; daughters, Susan and Michelle Blackburn; father, William Burris Sr.; sisters, Linda (James) Carpenter and Patricia (Winfield) Staley; brothers, Theodore (Susan) Burris and William (Shannon Harper) Burris; many nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Memorial service will be Monday, November 9, 2009 at 12:00 PM at Sunset Cemetery 6959 W. Broad St. Galloway. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway Grove City.

Jim was a wonderful person that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
