James Clifford Dotson Sr.

James Dotson Sr., 77, of Columbus, passed away April 14, 2022. James was born May 10, 1944 in Delbarton, WV to Arthur and Mary (Hignite) Dotson.
He was an avid OSU fan. James was a man of God and attended the Life Church at Easton where he was a volunteer. He enjoyed fishing, playing PlayStation, solitaire and cooking meals for the homeless. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
James will be deeply missed by his wife Terry (Kime) of 15 years; children Ella Dotson, Roy (Crystal) Dotson; grandchildren Jarred Dotson, Adam Dotson; great-grandchildren Jarred Dotson; step-children Arlene Bailey, Jenny Leathem, Christie Teeple, Natalie Schultz; step-grandchildren Kaleb Leathem, Justin Leathem, Kevin Ewing, Alexis Teeple, Drew Bricker, Avery Wiggins, Ariel Wiggins, Owen Burchett, Hunter Burchett, Kiegan Schultz, Harper Schultz; step-great-grandchild Kasen and Jensen Leathem, Yamir Hammock, brother Darrold, sister JoAnne along with many other family and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Betty Jayne, son James Dotson Jr., brother Arthur, sisters Patty, Irene, Ima Jean and Dianne.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 10am until the time of service at 12pm at Life Church 5000 Sunbury Rd. Columbus, OH 3230.
Burial will be at Iberia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Newcomer to assist the family.
