James E. Cameron, age 93 years, died on January 24, 2012. Jim was born on November 25, 1918 in Wilkesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Alice Margaret (Hall); his parents Samuel E. and Mabel (Phillips) Cameron and siblings–Frank (Minnie) Cameron and Ruth (Curtis) Chandler. He is survived by his brother Raymond (Esta) Cameron; two sons David (Lori Lampel) and John (Glenna); daughter-in-law; Angie Cameron; three grandchildren, Megan (Michael Riggins) Cameron, Lindsey (Ben) Turover, and Andrew Cameron; three great-grandsons, Shiloh, Avery, and Samuel; and many nieces and nephews.
James was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army in the European Theater of Operations in Germany and France.
Friends may call on Friday, January 27 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Westerville First Presbyterian
Church, 41 West College Avenue. A memorial service will be held at the church on Saturday, January 28, at 11:00 AM, Rev. Mark L. Gauen officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westerville Area Resource Ministry or the Capital City Humane Society.
