James E. Green

James E. Green, 81, passed away October 6, 2012, after a long illness. Jim was born in Van Lear, Ky., on September 5, 1931, to the late Ora and Winnie Lee Castle Green. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Korean War and was honorable discharged. Jim worked at Columbus Coasted Fabrics and Columbus Cadillac.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gregg. Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Phyllis (Fulks) Green; son, Todd Green; daughter, Terry Egan and her husband, Tom of St. Joseph, Michigan; grandchildren, Travis, Shawn, Donovan Egan and Stephen and Justin Green; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Rice and husband, Edsel of Flatwoods, Kentucky; special dog, Lady; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH with the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
